WCAG Check Shop

Enter your store address and see in seconds which WCAG 2.1 AA findings are found on your homepage — free, no account. The check names findings; it is not a legal assessment.

How the check works

  • One public page of your store is read — the same check the app uses for its fixes.
  • The result names the findings on that page, grouped as green, amber or red.
  • With your email you see the individual checks. The app then fixes what code can fix.

Common questions

What does the accessibility scanner check?

The accessibility scanner reads one public page of your store and names the WCAG 2.1 AA findings on it. It looks at images without alt text, buttons without an accessible name, form fields without a label, links without meaningful text, missing skip links and hidden keyboard focus. The result groups those findings as green, amber or red so you can see where the page stands in seconds. It needs no account and does not assess your store legally.

Is the accessibility scanner free?

Yes, the check is free and needs no account. You enter your store address, the service reads one public page and the verdict appears right away — green, amber or red, with the sentence that explains it. No sign-up and no payment details. Adding your email then opens the individual checks behind that verdict, so you can see which finding belongs to which element before you install anything.

Is this a fixed WCAG test?

No, this is a heuristic check and not a fixed WCAG test. It names the common failures on one page — missing alt text, unlabelled buttons, a hidden focus indicator, no skip link — but it neither replaces a full audit nor a legal assessment. On a paid plan the app runs every WCAG 2.1 AA criterion one by one, records pass, fail or not tested, and produces a dated report you can keep.

What happens to my email?

We store your email only to follow up about Capyo. With it you unlock the full check and see the individual checks on the page you scanned, instead of just the green, amber or red verdict. You can ask us to delete it at any time and we will remove it. The form asks nothing else — no name, no phone number, no store credentials.

Does the check fix the problems it finds?

No, the free check only names the findings — that is deliberately all it does. It reads one public page of your store and tells you what sits there, but it changes nothing in your code. The Capyo app then fixes what code can fix, such as alt text, accessible names or a missing skip link. Whatever cannot be fixed automatically stays visible as an open item for you to handle.

Found something to fix? Fix the findings automatically

Run the check, then install Capyo to apply the accessibility fixes it can make in code. Capyo applies the accessibility fixes it can make in code and reports the rest, so you know what is left to do by hand.
